Betty Jane Adams Meyers

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 S. Saint Charles St., Abbeville, LA, honoring the life of Betty Jane Adams Meyers, 84, who died Sunday, March 3, 2024 at her residence.  She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Pastor Jacob Aranza officiating the services. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Eric Meyers, Dillon Meyers, Luke Meyers, Nathan Hebert, Ethan Hebert, Nick Hebert, and Kaiden Hobart.

To those of you who knew Betty well, she loved her family. She enjoyed going to movie theaters as a family. She relished the peaceful and serene nature of country living. You could often find her in the kitchen cooking something fresh from her husband’s garden. She enjoyed singing and listening to Christian music.

She is survived by her two sisters, Nita Adams Hebert, and Isabelle Adams Doucet; six children, Chris Ann M. Hebert and her husband Thomas, Bonnie Edna Booker and her husband David, Luke Lanis Meyers, Sarah Louise Hancock and her husband Shawn, Robin Claire Bailor and her husband Richard, and Eric Jason Meyers and his wife Daniela; grandchildren, Nathan Hebert, Wendy Hebert, Nicholas Hebert, Dawn Hebert, Amie Richardson, Emilie Broussard,  Rachel Barker, Joshua Meyers, Cody Meyers, Racquel Meyers, Emma Meyers , Paul Andrus, Holden Andrus, Summer Hancock, Ryan Bailor, Gregory Bailor, Daniel Bailor, Taryn Mannerino, and Dillon Meyers; and twenty-one great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leodias Adams and Editha Baudoin; husband, Lanis Joseph Meyers; brothers, Clefton Adams, Weston Adams, Evres Adams, Clifford Adams, and Raymond Adams, Sr.; sisters, Hazel Adams, Hilda Adams Dubois, and Elizabeth Cordery Adams Lirette; and stepfather, Dunis Falk.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 9:30 AM until time of services
