Betty Jane Theall

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 26, 2022, at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Betty Jane Theall, 82, who died Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Calcutta House in Lafayette.  She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon William "Billy" Vincent officiating the services.

Betty was a cosmetologist for many years.  Her final career was as a sales consultant for Stuller Settings.  She enjoyed cooking every day and especially loved making Thanksgiving pumpkin bread and Christmas candies. For 63 years, she provided loving care and attention to her dependent son, Lawrence, also known as “Jun.”

She is survived by three children, Lawrence Duhon, Jr., Dawn Duhon Guidry (Gary), and Damitri Gaspard Istre; sisters, Shirley Duhon, Barbara Miller (Dalton), and Wendy Gayle Baldridge (Randy); grandchildren, Jeannine Guidry Goldsmith, Camille Guidry Arsement (Jared), Craig Guidry, Kalyn Guidry Akers (Kory), Madeline Guidry Meche (Chris), Stephan Guidry, Terize Broussard, Angelle Broussard, Gannon “Bubba” Broussard, Jr., Jacob Doucet, Seth Stout, Hillary Brasseaux, Waylon “PJ” Broussard, Jr., Isaiah Broussard, Chad “CJ” Istre, Jr., Autumn Istre, Damien Torres, and Odelia Torres; and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lenis Theall and Enice Abshire; three children, Serena Faye Duhon, Gannon Troy Broussard, and Waylon Jessie Broussard; brother-in-law, Clarence Duhon; and nephew, Anthony Baldridge.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Monday, December 26, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
