Boyd Warren Choate

ABBEVILLE- A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Boyd Warren Choate, 73, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at his residence.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home—Abbeville on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 12:30 PM. Rev. Emmanuel Fernandez will officiate at the funeral service. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

He is survived by his spouse, Cheryl Choate; two sons, Dirk Byron Choate and his wife, Jada of Abbeville, and Cliff Reed Choate and his wife, Carrie of Winnie, TX; two daughters, Angela Deshotel and her husband, Billy of Henry, and Regina Choate; ten grandchildren, Noelle, Rylee, Jaxon, Jade, Miranda, Dustin, Tristen, Carlie, Johnathon, and Dalton; one great-granddaughter, Ella; brother, Casey Choate and his wife, Cheryl of Pecan Island; and sister, Gwen Hutchinson and her husband, George of Pecan Island.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Warren Choate and the former Mary Bruno; sister, Betty Jean Choate; brothers, Clyde "Rand" Choate, and Billy Joe Choate; and nephew, Bud Suire.

Pallbearers will be Dirk Choate, Cliff Choate, Jade Choate, Rodney Sagrera, David Sagrera, and Sean Ramke. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaxon Choate, Tristen Choate, Johnathon Simon, and Dalton Gillihan.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to their sons Dirk Choate and Cliff Choate, the dedicated nurses from Heart of Hospice, Skyla Whitworth Pilcher and Shanice Guidry, grandson Jade Choate, and cherished friends Patricia Landry, Dona Ramke, and Jan Sagrera for the exceptional care and support provided during this time.
