Brian Dale Broussard

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February  5, 2023  at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Brian Dale Broussard, 61, who died Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from injuries he received in an automobile accident.  He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon William "Billy" Vincent officiating the services. Those serving as pallbearers are Chris Broussard, Travis Broussard, John Fleming, David Broussard, Dexter Doucet, and Ray Escuriex.

Brian will be forever remembered as a man with a huge heart of gold, always smiling and generous to those around him; he was a man that loved simple adventures, community, and especially his family. One of his favorite places to spend time was at his camp in Holly Beach, where he got to indulge in one of his favorite activities –fishing. In the summers, he enjoyed everything from Florida’s beautiful beaches to fishing in Louisiana’s bustling rivers. When he wasn’t fishing, you could find him driving around in his golf cart with his grandchildren and dog/best friend, Smokie –never hesitating to stop and chat with anyone he crossed paths with. However, while he never met a stranger and loved everyone around him, absolutely nothing mattered to Brian more than his family. He spent his days visiting his mom and his weekends visiting his son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren –grandchildren that he adored and doted on constantly. Few things could make Brian smile bigger than receiving a random picture/video of his grandson having a good day at school, or getting an update that his granddaughter’s hard work paid off at a swim meet or cheer competition. Brian truly enjoyed every part of being a husband, father, grandfather, family man, and member of his community. Now, he gets to enjoy heaven and share stories about his grandchildren with all of his friends and family up there, too.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Christine Menard Broussard; son, Travis Broussard and his wife, Brandy; two grandchildren, Cahli Broussard and Myles Broussard; mother, Anna Trahan Broussard; sister, Lisa Doucet and her husband, Dexter; two brothers, Chris Broussard and David Broussard and his wife, Cindy; nieces, Heather, Erin, Tabitha and Bianca; and nephews, Marcus and Justin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Dale Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Sunday, February  5, 2023 from 9:30 AM until time of services. A rosary being prayed at 1:30 PM.
