Carolyn Z. Guidry

Gueydan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August  5, 2022 at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Carolyn Zaunbrecher Guidry, 78, who died Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital.  She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James A. Guidry of Gueydan; one son, Gary P. Guidry of Wright; two daughters, Leisa Lee and husband Al, of Esther, and Ashley C. Guidry of Wright; three sisters, Ramona Z. Petry of Jennings, Barbara Z. Leonards of Crowley, and Jackie Z. Francois of Mowata; three grandchildren, Anna L. Barras and her husband, Jeb, Aaron Lee and his wife, Jamie and Bret Lee; and three great-grandchildren, John Luke Barras, Reagan Barras, and Ryder Barras.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Phillip Zaunbrecher and the former Barbara Frey of Mowata; six brothers, Edmond, Vincent, Raymond, Harry, Wayne and Floyd Zaunbrecher; and two sisters, Bertha Z. Breaux and Augusta Z. Bollich.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Friday, August  5, 2022 from 9:00 AM until the time of the services at 1:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 10:30 AM.
