Cheryl Ann Hebert

June 28, 1955 — January 8, 2021

Kaplan—Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery honoring the life of Cheryl Ann Hebert, 65, who entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 8, 2021 in Lafayette Louisiana following a brief illness.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Deacon William "Billy" Vincent officiating the Christian burial services.

Cheryl was a lifelong Catholic servant, lending her voice to several church parish choirs and volunteering at local food banks.  Throughout the years, her career paths including working with the disabled, insurance business, legal field, oil and gas industry and eventually customer service, where her friendliness and ability to assist elderly people with her fluent Cajun French was a blessing to many.  She was also fortunate to have formed several lifelong and cherished friends along the way, never meeting a stranger.   Her thirst for knowledge was quenched through avid reading, her creativity was displayed through her writings, drawing, painting, crocheting, and playing the piano and her great sense of humor through her infectious laughter.

Her laughter and stories will be greatly missed by her dear friends and neighbors, but mostly by her brother, Farrell Hebert and his wife, Sharon of Kaplan; her niece, Saretta Hebert Langlinais and her husband, Tony of Erath; her nephew, Brian Hebert of Youngsville; her great nephews, Paden Langlinais,  Andre’ and Michael Hebert; her great nieces, Alaina Hebert, Angelle, Ami, and Ava Langlinais; her godchildren, Darlene Broussard Faulk and Ryan Primeaux; and great great nephew, Reese Langlinais    Welcoming her into their arms in her eternal resting place are her parents, Alton J. Hebert  and the former Odelia Montey; and her brother, Garland Hebert.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the family request that masks be worn and social distancing be practiced at the graveside service.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in her memory to the Kaplan Food Bank, 401 N. Cushing Avenue, Kaplan, LA 70548 or Catholic charity of your choice.
