Christine Arceneaux Labit

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 11, 2024  at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Christine Arceneaux Labit, 63, who passed on

Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Oschner Lafayette General Hospital.  She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with  her sister, Pastor Charlene Pittman officiating the services.  Those serving as pallbearers will be Trent Touchet, Brennan Touchet, Landon Hebert, Kendall Duplantis, Brandon Labit, and Jody Dubois.

To those of you who knew Christine knows she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  Her family always came first.  She was always willing to help others.  She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, and gardening.

She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Michael C. Labit; daughter, Crystal Duplantis; mother, Carrie Schexnayder; five grandchildren, Cade Touchet, Trent Touchet, Kylie Touchet, Brennan Touchet, and Emma Duplantis; and seven siblings, Debbie Blaize, Bonnie Vincent, Linda Broussard, Philys “Twiggie” d’Augereau, Charlene Pittman, Tammy Mikolon, and Ricky Arceneaux.

She was preceded in death by her father, Oris Arceneaux; son, David John Touchet; paternal grandparents, Rita and Antoine Arceneaux; and maternal grandparents, Agnes and Lloyd Bourque.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM; Monday, March 11, 2024 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
