Christopher "Penu" Knilans

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Christopher “Penu” Knilans, 57, who died Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his residence.  He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Kyle Coates officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Broussard, Todd Broussard, Rodney Richeaux, Marty Perry, Tommy Clark and Carl Trahan. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Breaux and Scott Trahan.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jackie Murphy Knilans of Kaplan; one sister, Ann Knilans Yochum and her husband, Greg of River Ridge; his stepson, Tony David Wallace of Toccoa,GA; his step grandchildren, Amber Wallace of Gaston, SC, Tommy David Wallace, Jr. of Toccoa, GA and Jessica Hope Wallace of Toccoa, GA; one nephew, Josh Yochum of River Ridge; two nieces, Megan Knilans Steele and her husband, Derrek of Montana and Tiffany Yochum of River Ridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bruce Knilans and the former Gail Francis Perrin; two brothers, Tom Knilans and Jim Knilans; and one sister, Adair Knilans.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 1:00 PM.
