Claude Junior Copeland

Abbeville—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at St. James Church honoring the life of Claude  Junior Copeland, 78, who died Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at his residence.  He will be laid to rest at Esther Community Cemetery with Reverend Emmanuel Fernandez officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Preston Copeland; children, Shawn David Copeland (Kendall), Daniel Chapman (Nikki), and Dana Hudson (Tim); grandchildren, Zain Copeland, Marissa Copeland, Seth Chapman (Darian), Gregory Hudson, Amanda Hudson, Madeline Hudson, John Hudson (Tori), and Jacob Lange (Caroline); and two great-granddaughters, Ivy Lange and Ava Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Copeland and the former Montene Neel;  brother, Clifford Leon Copeland; and grand daughter in law, Delanie Foreman Chapman.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM; Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM when the procession will depart for the church.
