Dale "Bear" Hebert

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Dale "Bear" Hebert, 77, who died Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital.

He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Deacon Bryan Istre officiating the services.

Dale dedicated 35 years of his life in service to Exxon. Born on August 6, 1946, he was not only a dedicated professional but also a beloved member of the community. In addition to his distinguished career at Exxon, he was a proud and active member of the Knights of Colombus in Leroy and Kaplan. He brought the same level of dedication and commitment to this fraternal organization, fostering a sense of camaraderie and community spirit among his fellow members.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Vickie Herpin Hebert; one daughter Shayna Hebert and her fiancé Ethan Trahan; one son Trey Hebert and his wife Nacole; his brother-in-law Sanford Herpin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Zee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerard Hebert and the former Ada Bares; brother U.L. Hebert; sisters Hazel LeBlanc, and Dorothy (Dot) Begnaud; nieces Carla, Sondra, and Becky; nephews Greg and David; and his mother- and father-in-law, Red and Mercedes Herpin.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9:00 AM until the services begin at 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
