Darsen Wayne Cormier

Kaplan—It is with great sadness that the family of Darsen Cormier announces his passing after a long health battle on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at the age of 58.

Darsen will be remembered by his children, Jobe Cormier and Hannah Herpin and her husband, Martin. He will also be missed by his mother, Yolande Simon; his brother, Merlin Cormier; his sister, Lucinda Cormier; along with his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Sydney Cormier; stepfather, Oscar “Pete” Duhon; sister, Linda Cormier; brothers, Terry Cormier and Mark Cormier; and his daughter, Madeleine Rose Cormier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Palthasar Arrockia Doss officiating the services.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 9:30 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 8:00 AM until 10:40 AM when the procession will depart for the church.
