Daxton “Dax-Baby” Harrington

November 2, 1999 — March 6, 2021

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Faith Christian Church honoring the life of Daxton Charles Harrington, 21, who died Saturday, March 6, 2021.  He will be laid to rest at Lege Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services.

A few heartfelt words from his loving mother; “if you knew my Daxton, then you would have known love, happiness, jokes, friendship and a smile that could light up a room. He was born to live life to the fullest, full speed ahead and not stopping. He loved fiercely and fully until the end. Yes, he was not perfect in everyone’s eyes but, in mine he was the best. My baby boy, would and could use his smile to get whatever he wanted. If he was your friend, then life and blood was the only thing that ended it. He was taught early in life to always say “sorry”, the word that could almost fix anything. His love was real, he loved his family, his friends and his dogs. He loved to fish and hunt, he also loved to chill with his buddies and yes, he loved Jesus. My prayer for each of you is to forgive others, love each other and importantly love my Jesus.”

He is survived by his mother, Vickie Broussard of Kaplan; his father, Tony Harrington of Erath; his brothers, Jordan Harrington and his wife, Dayans of Kaplan and Chason Harrington of Kaplan; his grandparents, Mary and Thurman Floyd of Kaplan; his girlfriend, Gitanjla “Honey” Petry; his godparents, Wendy and Rob Keady of Alexandria; his aunts and uncles; Tina Luquette and her husband, Chris, Jodi Reaux and her husband, Jason, Laura Myers and Sava Harrington III and his wife, Tammy. Daxton loved and was loved by his other aunts, uncles and numerous cousins that were overflowingly special. Additional family members are Mike Simon, Kayla Simon and Marion Hebert.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Sava Harrington, Jr.; paternal grandmother and grandfather, Beverly and Eric Demolle; maternal grandfather, Ernest Broussard; one uncle, Ernest Harrington; and one cousin, "Buskie".

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM; Friday, March 12, 2021 from 8:00 AM until the services at 11:00 AM.
