Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Debra Roy, 65, who died Monday, August 5, 2024 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Deacon Bryan Istre officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Merlin Byron, Ivy Poirier, Darwin Hebert, Cory Hebert, Ted Istre, and Chance Byron. Riley Mendoza will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

She is survived by her daughter, Annie Byron and her husband, Merlin of Abbeville; her grandson, Riley Mendoza of Abbeville; her brother, Richard Meaux of Abbeville; her godchildren, Chasity Duplantis of Crowley, and Quinton Simon; one niece, Tabatha Simon of Abbeville; two nephews, Lil Richard, and Shane Simon; and two stepsisters, Norma Hebert, and Kathy LeMaire.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Allen Roy; her sisters, Myrna Meaux and T-Lynn Simon; her father, Iving Meaux; and her mother, Annabelle Istre.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 8:00 AM until the services at 11:00 AM.
