Della "Jean" Abshire Lege

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Della “Jean” Abshire Lege, 82, who died Monday, June 28, 2021 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital.  She will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery with Deacon Tim Marcentel officiating the services.

She is survived by her daughter, Gay Harrington of Nunez; her stepson, Harris Lege and his wife, Lucy of Lafayette; her grandson, Michael Dubose of Nunez; her sister, Ruby A. Touchet of Kaplan; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Matthew Lege; her parents, Odelon Abshire and the former Amay Sonnier; her two grandsons, Randy Dubose and Andy Dubose; two brothers, Caffery Abshire and Wildes Abshire; two nieces, Kimberly Abshire and Charmaine A. Lafleur; and her in-laws, Elie Lege and Azamie B. Lege.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 1:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 10:30 AM.
