Desmond James Demette

Erath—Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery honoring the life of Desmond James Demette, who died Friday, November 24, 2023, at Lourdes Womens & Childrens Hospital.  He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath with Pastor Blake Cotter officiating the services.

He is survived by his parents, Blaze Demette and Lacey Cupp Derouen; sister, Julianna Tisdale; four brothers, Tucker Derouen, Dawson Derouen, Dominic Derouen, and Jensen Tisdale; maternal grandparents, Jessie and Kristian Cupp; maternal great grandmother, Deborah Sonnier; paternal grandmother, Rachelle Demette; paternal great grandfather, Perry Demette; and Godparents, Brooke Blanchard, Seth Demette, and Joseph Martin.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sonia Cupp; maternal great grandfather, Benny Sonnier, Sr.; maternal great grandmother, Bessie Cupp; maternal great grandfather, James Cupp, Sr.; paternal great grandmother, Linda Demette; and niece, Madison Bourgeois.
