Dinh Van Tran

Abbeville—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the VN Hall 1201 Lafitte Road Abbeville, honoring the life of Dinh Van Tran, 59, who died Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.  He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. James Nguyen officiating the services.

Dinh was a commercial fisherman for many years, then he became a welder, he enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Phung Tran; son, David Tran; daughter, Linh Tran; mother, Thoa Thi Tran; brother, Tan Tran (Chou); and sister, Nga Tran (Mao Nguyen).

He was preceded in death by his father, Rau Van Tran.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 8:30 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM followed by mass at 6:30 PM; Friday, March 10, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 8:30 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM followed by mass at 6:30 PM; Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 8:00 AM until 8:45 AM when the procession will depart for the VN Hall.
