Doris "Sis" Mire

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, March  9, 2020 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Doris “Sis” Mire, 93, who died Friday, March 6, 2020 at her residence.  She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Mire and his wife, Nancy of Kaplan; her three grandchildren, Ronnie Mire, Desiree and her husband, Michael Leger, and Aaron Mire and his wife, Renee; and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allison "Chop" Mire; her two sisters, Briley  Mire and Shirley Schexnider; and her parents, Angelas Mire and the former Irene Toups.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Sunday, March  8, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM; Monday, March  9, 2020 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 1:00 PM.
