Dorothy Hines Potier

Gueydan—Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Gueydan Cemetery honoring the life of Dorothy Hines Potier, 88, who died Sunday, December 20, 2020.  She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Wilbert Potier and his wife, Linda of Kaplan; her five grandchildren, her 10 great grandchildren; and two very special grandchildren, Charmain LaFleur and her husband, E.J. and Jeffery Abshire and his wife, Rhiannon who helped with her care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Potier; her son, Darryl Potier; her parents, Lewis Hines and the former Francis Nolan Hines; her sister, Wanda Primeaux; her five brothers, Irving, Lawrence, Dennis, Jenus, and Freddie Hines; and her great granddaughter, Cassandra Potier Guidry.
