Dorothy Trahan

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Dorothy Trahan, 87, who died Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Matt Hebert officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Roy J. Viator, Jr., Marc Harrington IV, Cody Touchet, Donovan Viator and Derek Viator. Honorary pallbearers will be Colton Burke, Angie Viator, Heather Burke, Rosalyn Viator, Alexis Touchet, Blake Harrington and Mase Viator.

She is survived by her son, Roy J. Viator, Jr. of New Iberia; her daughter, Elizabeth Harrington of Nunez; her seven grandchildren; her 14 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and her sister, Marie Formenthal of  Berwick.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Joseph Viator, Sr.; her second husband, Maxie Paul Trahan; her daughter, Mary Bonin; her  grandson, Scott Bonin; her parents, Albert Hulin and the former Marie Landry; and two brothers, Gene and Paul Hulin.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the time of the services at 12:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:30 AM.
