Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Earline Riggs, 63, who passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 in Haughton, LA after a 15 year courageous battle from stroke complications. She will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Reverend Nicholas DuPre' officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Tristan Halbrook, Chris Broussard, Jeffery Broussard, Keith Broussard, Tony Broussard, and Aaron Ford.

She was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Bossier City and she was also an avid member of the Ladies Guild at St. Jude's Catholic Church and worked in the medical field for over 35 years. Her hobbies were making people laugh and spreading joy and her faith to everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Charles Leland Riggs of Oregon; one sister, Ethel Broussard Abshire of Bossier City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lovelace Andrew Broussard and the former Alice Mire; and two brothers, Curtis and Colbert Broussard.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Father Karl Diagle, the Willis Knighton ICU doctors and nurses, Denise Richardson, Administrator of Pilgrim Manor North along with the nurses who cared for her for over 7 years at Pilgrim Manor North.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Friday, September 22, 2017 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church.
