Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August  7, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home – Kaplan honoring the life of Earline D. Suire, 81, who died Friday, August 2, 2024 at The Calcutta House by Hospice of Acadiana. She will be laid to rest at Nunez Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Lee Rodgers and Pastor Timmy Farris officiating the services.

Earline dedicated her life to her family, community, and a distinguished career at Vermilion Bank. Starting in an entry-level position, she worked her way up to Vice President, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues and customers alike. Her genuine passion for her work and the relationships she built with her co-workers and clients made her a beloved figure at the bank. Earline's commitment to excellence and her warm, caring nature left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her legacy of service and dedication will be remembered fondly by her family, friends, and the entire community.

Earline enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. During her spare time she was a proud supporter of all LSU sports. She was an excellent cook and cherished cooking for her family during the weekends. She was a very passionate member at the Kaplan Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Stacy Suire of Kaplan; one daughter, Christine Griffiths and her husband, Michael of Sulphur; four sons, Brian Suire and his wife, Jackie of Lafayette, Scott Suire, John K. Suire and his wife, Pam of Lafayette, and David Suire and his wife, Kayla of Alexandria; her siblings, Roberta Mire of Berwick, her twin brother, Earl Darby and his wife, Sarah of Abbeville, Robert Darby and his wife, Judy of Morgan City, and Curtis Darby of Blanco, TX; 13 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loinel Darby and the former Ella Lege; four brothers, Raymond Darby, Thomas Darby, Doisey Darby, and Kenneth Darby; and four sisters, Hazel Mae Darby Patterson, Joyce Darby Hebert, Goldie Darby Heard, and Beverly Ann Darby Myers.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM; Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the services at 1:00 PM.
