Edward Sabry Mire

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July  1, 2021 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Edward Sabry Mire, 95, who died Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at his residence.  He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Hebert officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Mire, Titus Mire, Anthony Trahan, Lance Suire, Tyler Mire and Aron Mire. Honorary pallbearer will be Kameron Mire.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Yvonne Mire of Kaplan; one son, Randall Mire and his wife, Beverly of Kaplan; one daughter, Cheryl Suire and her husband, Weston of Kaplan; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two brothers, Harry Mire of Kaplan and Harris Mire of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Mire; his parents, Theonis and Olite Mire; five brothers, Elton, Ellis, Chop, Bob and Lloyd Mire; and two sisters, Olite Romero and Helen Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Thursday, July  1, 2021 from 8:00 AM until the services at 10:00 AM.
