Eldridge John Meaux

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 14, 2018 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church honoring the life of Eldridge John Meaux, 89, who died Friday, May 11, 2018. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

He is survived by one daughter, Cynthia M. Hitt and her fiancé, Louis Miranda, Jr. of Houma; one sister, Leola M. Guidry of Crowley; two granddaughters, Rachel Elsert of Houma and Heather Smith of Texas; and three great grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Odelia Trahan Meaux; one son, Teddy John Meaux; one granddaughter, Megan Hitt; his parents, Enolas Meaux and the former Nella Guidry; and one brother, Francis R. Meaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 910 N. Frederick Ave., on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 10:00 AM until services. A rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
