Elgin Duhon Holland

Maurice—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Elgin Duhon Holland, 86, who died Saturday, January 15, 2022 at AMG Specialty Hospital - Park Place Campus.  She will be laid to rest at St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Reverend Paul Bienvenu officiating the services.  Pallbearers will be Sean Granger, Jared Granger, Brayden Granger, Christian Granger, Lakeshia Cockrell and Russell Hebert.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonia Hebert and her husband, Russell; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Duhon; and one sister, Katie Trahan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Holland; parents, Minos Duhon and the former Bella Trahan; father of her children, Eugene Granger; and infant great-grandson, Aiden Manuel.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 8700 Maurice Ave., Maurice, on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of services.  A rosary is being prayed at 12:30 PM.
