Elias Mouton, Jr. died on November 12, 2020. He was laid to rest in the Kaplan Cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by Vincent Funeral Home in Kaplan, LA.

I am home in Heaven dear ones, GOD saw the road was getting rough, the hills were hard to climb, he gently closed my eyes and whispered “peace be thine…”

On March 21, 1947 Elias Mouton, Jr. was born in Lafayette, Louisiana into the union of the late Elias Mouton, Sr. and Alphonsine Cola Mouton. Elias was a wonderful brother and uncle. He lived his life loving his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories one sister, Theresa Yeggins of Portland, Oregon; one brother-in-law, Marion Bessard of Abbeville; his sister-in-law, Joyce Broussard Mouton of Beaumont, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Mouton; four sisters, Annie Lou Romero, Mary Ann Mouton, Beatrice Shillow, and Alma Mouton  Bessard, one brother, John J. Mouton; and his parents, Elias Mouton, Sr. and Alphonsine Cola Mouton.
