Elizabeth "Beth" Hardee Bertrand

A graveside service was held Tuesday, November 19, 2024 honoring the life of Elizabeth “Beth “ Hardee Bertrand, 72, who passed away on November 13, 2024. A small service was held at the Gueydan Cemetery with the Reverend Chyrelena Peyton officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were Ted Bertrand, Connor Boudreaux, Wyatt Hardee, Travis Foreman, Anthony Sonnier, and Kohen Sonnier. Dwight Hardee served as an honorary pallbearer.

She is survived by her husband, John Bertrand; one stepson, Ted Bertrand (Lauren) of Fort Collins, CO; one stepdaughter, Laurine Bertrand of Mulvey; one sister, Cindy (Kent) Richard of Wright; one brother, Buster (Angie) Hardee of Wright; two step grandchildren, Connor Boudreaux and Tinleigh Boudreaux; one godchild, Libby R (Anthony) Sonnier; one niece, Kayla H (Travis) Foreman; one nephew, Wyatt A Hardee; five great nieces, Kiley Sonnier, Norah Foreman, Vivian Foreman, Ruth Foreman, and Mary Hettich; one great nephew, Kohen Sonnier.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther Hardee, Jr and Hannah Jane Wright Hardee; her daughter, Jane Elizabeth Chapman; and her nephew, William Hardee.
