Epsie Lee Nixon Suire

September 6, 1931 — April 7, 2018

Epsie Lee Nixon Suire was born September 6, 1931 in Huntsville, TX to Samuel Thomas and Mae Dell Ellington Nixon. She passed away on April 7, 2018. She lived and worked most of her life in Houston and Bridge City, TX.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd J. Suire; Stepdaughter, Belinda Suire; sister, Doris Mozelle Bridwell and her husband Vance.

She is survived by her son, Jerry T. Bass and wife, Debra of Shreveport, LA; her sister, Elva Mae Yokem and her husband, Ken of Bartlesville, OK; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the nurse’s and staff, especially Tammy Frierson, Shayla, Rolanda, Randy, and Miss Brenda, of Hertiage Manor Nursing Home at Stratmore for their care during her last years. Additoonally, Dr. Hernandez, Laura, Trence and Life Path Hospice for their special care.

A visitation with a Rosary will be held at Vincent Funeral Home in Kaplan, LA on April 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of life for Epsie will be held after the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. and interment to follow the service at the Kaplan Cemetery.
