Ernest "Shobee" Gaspard

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Ernest "Shobee" Gaspard, 73, who died Friday, May 4, 2018 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services.

He is survived by his two sons, Ernest Gaspard, Jr. of Kaplan and Danny Paul Gaspard of Kaplan; three daughters, Odelia and her husband, Jerrid Morgan of Crowley, Lisa Ann Gaspard of Lafayette, and Patricia and her husband, Carlos Rivas of Maurice; one sister, Cecile Fontenot of Kaplan; and three grandchildren, Justin Gaspard, Cory Gaspard, and Zachary Gaspard.

He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Joseph Gaspard; his parents, John Gaspard and the former Odelia Demette; one brother, James Gaspard; and two half-brothers, Isadore Touchet and Alcee "T-Ki" Trahan.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM; Monday, May 7, 2018 from 8:00 AM until services.
