Estelle Prejean Pierce

Abbeville—Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September  7, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Estelle Prejean Pierce, 96, who died Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.  She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Mausoleum.

Estelle (Red) loved history, enjoyed reading and traveling. A graduate of USL in Lafayette, LA she taught school for thirty years at Mouton Cove/Seventh Ward Elementary in Vermilion Parish.

She is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Rebecca P. Boffy and her husband, Denis of Abbeville; Barry P. Pierce of Abbeville; Juliette Pierce and her partner, Karen McAlister of Stockbridge, Vermont; and Jessica P. Vaughan and her husband, Brent of Abbeville; sister, Yvonne M. Prejean; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Pierce; parents, Philip Prejean and Emily Ayo Prejean; and two sisters, Marietta and May Prejean.

The family had a private visitation at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Wednesday, September  7, 2022.
