Euphemie "Faye" Petry

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Euphemie B. Petry, 87, who died Monday, June 10, 2019 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.

She is survived by her three sons, Kenneth J. Petry and his wife, Cynthia of Gueydan, Michael P. Petry of Kaplan, and Russell A. Petry of Lake Arthur; one daughter, Rebecca and her husband, Lester Trahan of Douglasville, GA; two sisters, Salomie Dugat of Crowley and Effie Abshire of Indian Bayou; 11 grandchildren, Jessica, Lynsey, Madison, Mandy, Justin, Lorne, Dawn, Dax, Regina, Lester II, and Noemie; 13 great grandchildren, Lauren Grace, Grant, Peyton, Brandon, Devan, Reagan, Reina, Lillie, Dathan, Vance, Alexis, Kali, and Alayah; and one great-great grandson, John Clay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aristile Broussard and the former Margaret Guidry; her husband, Melvin J. "Bee" Petry, Sr.; and one grandson, Gannon Trahan.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 8:00 AM until 1:45 PM when the procession will depart for the church.
