Evince Lee Guidry

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan honoring the life of Evince Lee Guidry, 83, who passed away on October 15, 2024 at Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. The burial will follow at Harrington Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Regan Guidry, Matthew Guidry, Dylan Touchet, Andrew Guidry, Michael Guidry, and Malakai Lagasca.

The visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Friday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the services. A rosary will be prayed on Friday at 7:00 PM.

Lee was employed with Vermilion Corporation for over 40 years as a hunting guide, marsh buggy operator, alligator hunter and nutria trapper. He was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed garfishing and butterfly shrimping with his family. After retiring he dedicated his time to his wife and soulmate, Lucy. Together they enjoyed many cake bingos, visiting with friends and making memories with their family. 

Lee will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 63 years, Lucy Mae Menard Guidry; five sons, Ronald Guidry (Sarah), Dale Guidry (Consuela), Michael Guidry, Glenn Guidry (Debra), and Christopher Guidry (Christina); one daughter, Eunice Touchet; three sisters, Florine Hardin (Earl), Joycee Baker (David), and Laura Taylor (Troy); two brothers, Lovelace Guidry and Eddie Guidry (Linda); 13 grandchildren, Regan, Emilie, Dylan, Kegan, Andrew, Joshua, Matthew, Michelle, Crystal, Joseph, Dylan, Tonia, Brandi; 24 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Evince Guidry and the former Evia Touchet; two brothers, Robert Guidry and Charles Guidry; five sisters, Shirley Vincent, Ruth Guidry, Jean Broussard, Virginia Gallo, and Ruby Sellers; and three great grandchildren, Ava Grace Guidry, Jospeh Touchet, and Jaxson Touchet.
