Floyd Zaunbrecher

Gueydan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 30, 2021 at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Floyd Anthony Zaunbrecher, 80, who died Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home.  He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cena Mae Zaunbrecher of Gueydan; his two sons, Buddy Zaunbrecher of Gueydan and Gerald Zaunbrecher and his wife, Jesseca of Gueydan; his three daughters, Sheryl Broussard and her husband, Robert of Gueydan, Susan Hardy and her husband, Duane of Madison, MS and Charlotte Detraz and her husband, Sonny of Abbeville; his 10 grandchildren; his four great grandchildren; and his sisters, Ramona Petry of Jennings, Carolyn Guidry of Gueydan, Bobbi Leonards of Crowley and Jackie Francois of Iota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Phillip Zaunbrecher and the former Barbara Frey; his five brothers, Raymond, Edmond, Vincent, Harry and Wayne Zaunbrecher; and his two sisters, Bertha Breaux and Augusta Bollich.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 12:45 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
