Franzel J. Guidry

March 9, 1935 — January 26, 2018

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Franzel Guidry, 82, who died Friday, January 26, 2018 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Dupuy, Ian Dupuy, Sam Broussard, Wade Dupuy, Chad Motty, and Jake Hebert. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lester David, Pat Schexnailder, Jimmy Herring, Calvin Michel, Jeremy Primeaux, Sandrus Guidry, Keith Guidry, Brennan Motty, Kane Primeaux, and Wilson Bouillion.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Delores G. Guidry; three sons, Brent Dupuy and his wife Gretchen of Meaux, Wade Dupuy of Youngsville, and Keith Guidry and his wife Barbara of Kaplan; three special grandchildren, Jeanne Elisabeth Dupuy of Meaux, Ian Michael Dupuy of Meaux, and Callie Shae Dupuy of Milton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theophas Guidry and the former Eliza Landry; his brother Paul Danray Guidry; and his four sisters, Ophelia, Lorraine, Julice, and Elva Jane.

The Guidry family would like to give special thanks to Kaplan Home Health and Lamm Hospice, especially Lisa, Sonia, and Melissa.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 8:00 AM until services with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
