Gabriel "Winston" Landry

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 26, 2024 at St. David Chapel, 13022 Highway 3093, Kaplan, LA 70548, honoring the life of Gabriel “Winston” Landry, 86, who died Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Paul Trahan, Gabe Landry, Craig Landry, Chip Landry, Lane Hebert, and Mickey Suire. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Denais, Eden Hargrave, Hayden Landry, Dax Trahan, and Bryant Denais.

He is survived by his two sons, Gabriel W. Landry, Jr. of Kaplan and Anthony Landry and his wife, Johnna of Duson; his daughter, Monica Hebert of Kaplan; seven grandchildren, Paul, Gabe, Chip, Craig, Bliss, Lacey, and Lane; 11 great grandchildren, Noah, Trynidi, Kynnedi, Evie, Hunter, Eden, Hayden, Jolie, Dax, Myka, and Conner; and one brother, Floyd Landry and his wife, Lucy of Delcambre.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Lezak Landry; his parents, Gilmar Landry and the former Anna Broussard; his brothers, Gilmar Landry, Jr., Curtis Landry, and Alan Landry; one sister Mary Anne Hargrave.

Visiting hours will be observed at St. David Chapel, 13022 Highway 3093, Kaplan, LA 70548, on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the services begin at 12:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
