George Joseph Wayne Couvillion

Abbeville— A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church honoring the life of George Joseph Wayne Couvillion, 72, who passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Louisiana Extended Care Hospital. Reverend Paul Bienvenu will be officiating the services. Readers for the Mass will be Angelle Dartez and Emily Dartez and gift bearers will be Erin Hebert and Jillian Broussard. Honored to serve as Urn Bearer will be John Kent Dartez. Wayne will be laid to rest beside his parents at Graceland Cemetery in Abbeville, LA

He is survived by his sister, Shelly C. Broussard and her husband, Joseph Kent; his niece Elisa Hebert and husband Johnny and their children Erin, Amber and Riley; his nephew, Joseph Andre Broussard and his wife Ashley and their children Jillian, Gabe and Cade. John Kent Dartez will be his pallbearer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Joseph Couvillion and the former Henrietta Melancon.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church - Maurice, LA 8700 Maurice Ave., on Saturday, January  7, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.  A rosary is being prayed at 10:00 AM.
