George Marion Greene, Iii

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of George Marion Greene, III, 74, who died Friday, February 18, 2022 at Abbeville General Hospital.  He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery in Kaplan with Reverend Louis J. Richard officiating the services.

George was a veteran of the United States Army who served our country during the Vietnam Era.  He enjoyed all types of sports but most all tennis was his favorite.  In his spare time, he appreciated hunting and was a local duck guide.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy Trahan Greene; son, George Marion Greene, IV; sisters, Angelle Greene O’Bryan and her husband, Jesse, Jr., and Lana Greene Hebert; brother, Marcus Greene and his wife the former Tina Dupuis; four nephews; one niece; and ten great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Marion Greene, Jr. and the former Lunia Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
