Gertie Primeaux Touchet

Cow Island—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Gertie Primeaux Touchet, 92, who died Monday, October 19, 2020 at Vermilion Health Care Center.  She will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Barzare officiating the services.

She is survived by her two sons, Charles Bourque of Abbeville and Gregory Mire of Cow Island; her five daughters, Sandra Willis and her husband, Sylvester of Kaplan, Rachel Romero of Maurice, Deneen Boutros and her husband, George of Santa Clarita, CA, Vonda Boutros and her husband, Michael of Houston, TX,  and Tracy Mire of Maurice; her 17 grandchildren; her 15 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nursie Jane Bourque; her parents, Martin Primeaux and the former Emella Simon; her two sisters, Nursie  Hargrave and Myrtis Adams; her three husbands, Eulus Bourque, Percy Mire, and Joseph Touchet; and one nephew, James Adams.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 9:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 1:30 PM.
