Gleada Ann Broussard

Abbeville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM, on Monday October 28, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church 300 Pere Megret St. Abbeville, Honoring the life of Gleada Ann Broussard, 92, who passed away on Saturday October 26, 2024 at her residence. Reverend Alexander Albert will celebrate the Mass. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery 410 Old Kaplan Hwy Abbeville. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Bubba Broussard, Chris White, Rodney Sagrera, Joshua Sloan, Christopher Broussard and Dwayne Broussard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Sloan, Timothy Broussard and Johnny Broussard.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday October 28, 2024 from 9:30 AM until 11:15 PM when the procession departs for church. Two rosaries will be prayed at 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM on Monday October 28, 2024. 

Readers for the Mass will be Gail Broussard and Arlene Colle'e.

Gift bearers will be Cheryl D. Choate and Danny Paul Broussard.

Gleada was born on February 26, 1932 in Pecan Island. She is survived by her sister, Theresa Broussard Sloan; sister-in-law Bobbie M. Broussard; her niece Joan M. Sloan, also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Broussard; mother, Genevieve LaPlace Broussard; brothers, Howard and his wife Mildred Broussard; Mark and his wife Venola Broussard; N.R. “Pe Do” Broussard; Joseph L. Broussard; Huey and his wife Lou Broussard; sisters, Hilda and her husband Aaron Dufour; Stella and her husband Toupee Broussard; Wilda O. Broussard; nieces, Bridget Broussard; Rowena and her husband Ralph Sagrera and Stephanie Sagrera; brother-in-law, Joseph Frank Sloan, Sr.; nephews, Keith Broussard; Abby Broussard; Pete Lege; Robert Broussard; Barney Broussard; John Howard Sloan, Jr and Buster and his wife Jerri Broussard.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jennifer Lott for all the care given to Ms. Gleada. Danny Paul Broussard and Sister Joan Broussard for their frequent visits.
