Grace Sonnier

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Grace Sonnier, 86, who died Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah and her husband, Roger Hargrave of Cow Island and Charmayne and her husband, Charles Huffstedler of West Lake; three stepchildren, Mike Allen, Motese Maddox and Darrell Sonnier; one sister, Jean Fuslier of Sulphur; one brother, John Smith of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Kina Johnson, Kayla Holston and Cody Myrick; and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elven Guillory; second husband, Ferdie Sonnier; one grandson, Tommy Wayne Myrick; parents, Louis Smith and the former Edith Courville; five brothers; and four sisters.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Monday, November 29, 2021 from 8:00 AM until the services at 1:30 PM.
