Harold "Tuffy" Taft Merritt, Jr.

Kaplan—A private family service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Harold Taft Merritt, Jr., 79, who died Friday, February 14, 2020 at Legacy Nursing Home.  He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Rowe Merritt; his two sons, Aaron and his wife, Janet L. Merritt of  Kaplan and Jeremy and his wife, Jeanne-Maree Merritt of Stella, MO; his daughter, Abby Fenwick of Austin, TX; his 11 grandchildren; and his eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by by his parents, Harold Merritt, Sr. and Ruby Merritt.
