Abbeville—A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Harvey Duplantis Jr., 47, who died Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Reverend Mark Miley will officiate the service. His cremains will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery at a later date.

Harvey fondly referred to as “T-Harv” by family and friends was a 1988 graduate of Abbeville High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy for 13 years, where he made his career as an electronic technician. In 2001 he departed the Navy and began working as an electrical engineer/technician for C & C Technologies out of Lafayette, then later moved onto Blue Fin Robotics located in Boston, MA.

Harvey is survived by his daughter, Alexandra Victoria Duplantis; brother, Kevin James Duplantis; father, Harvey Duplantis, Sr. and his wife Geraldine; sister, Michelle Burke and her husband Joseph; one nephew; five nieces; and companion, Andrea Lafleur of Oklahoma City, OK.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Faye McClanahan; maternal grandmother, Lelia Pommier Monteaux; maternal grandfather, Eulis Monteaux; paternal grandmother, Agnes Segura Duplantis; paternal grandfather, Camille Joseph Duplantis.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Thursday, February 22, 2018, from 9:00 AM until time of service.
