Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home in Kaplan honoring the life of Hazel Adams Fevrejean, who died Friday, March 8, 2024 at Vermilion Health Care Center. She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services.
Throughout her life, Hazel cherished her quiet morning moments with a cup of coffee and the newspaper. It was a simple routine that brought her comfort and set the tone for the day ahead. Her love for literature extended to the Bible, where she found inspiration and guidance. Reading the scriptures was a source of strength for her. She found joy in gathering with her prayer friends and lifting others in prayer.
Above all, Hazel loved her family. She was a pillar of warmth and strength, and she dedicated her life to creating a home filled with love and unwavering support. Her children, grands, great-grands, and great-great grands were the center of her world, and she took great pride in watching them grandchildren succeed.
As we mourn the loss of this matriarch, let us remember her for the love she showered upon her family, the joy she brought through music and dance, the delicious meals she prepared, and the countless heartfelt prayers she offered up for others with her dear friends. May her spirit live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by two sons, Dalton Fevrejean, Jr. (Theresa) of Kaplan, and Alex "T-Black" Fevrejean (Theresa) of Kaplan; two daughters, Charlene F. Stelly of Kaplan, and Verlene F. Abshire (Carson) of Kaplan; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
