Hazel Theresa Simon

On Monday, April 14, 2025, Hazel Theresa Simon passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones. A Graveside Service officiated by Reverend Josh Scanlan will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Gueydan Cemetery honoring the life of Hazel Theresa Simon, 88.

Hazel was in the Navy for 3 years from October 7,1958 to October 6, 1961. She was a nurse and also was a teacher at the nursing school. She retired from Lincoln Electric.

She is survived by her brother, Billy Simon (Mary); her sisters, Dorothy S. Istre (Burnell) and Dolores "Jean" Sensat.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Teonis and Emitile A, Simon; her brothers, L.J. Simon and Bobby Simon; her sisters, Madeline S. Broussard, Irene S. Badon, Rita S. Trahan, and Brenda S Bourque.

Pallbearers will be Jody Simon, Scott Hair, Brandon Badon, and David Bourque.

Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth Trahan.

In lieu of sending flowers she would like donations to go to LAMM Hospice at 210 West Mill St Crowley, La 70526.
