Abbeville—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Hazel Vice Trahan, 94, who died Friday, July 5, 2024, at Camelot Brookside in Jennings, LA. She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Nicholas DuPre' officiating the services. Honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Michael Monic, Wiil Monic, Jude Monic, Carl Dees, Joel Dees, Peter Woods, Christopher Trahan, Peter Monic and Ethan Woods. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Broussard and Chad Vice.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Dees and her husband, DonnE of Jennings; daughter in law Paula Trahan; one sister, Fanny Broussard (Roland); and one brother, Kenneth W. Vice (Jannelle); five grandchildren, Shannon D. Monic (Michael), Emily T. Woods (Peter), Carl J. Dees, Christopher Trahan, and Joel E. Dees; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Ray Trahan; parents, Johnny Vice and the former Hilda Lege; one son, Errol J. Trahan; one sister, Eula Bourque, and four brothers, Wiltz, Jimmy, Hubert, and JohnA Vice.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 9:00 AM until with a rosary being prayed at 10:00 AM.
