Helen Broussard Lapointe

Abbeville—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Helen Broussard LaPointe, 85, who died Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Eastridge Nursing Center. She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Fr. Michael Richard officiating the services.

Helen was an Abbeville High School graduate of 1951. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Helen is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harris LaPointe; two daughters, Cheryle Meaux and husband Steve of Abbeville, and Diana LeBlanc and husband Randy of Crowley; two sons, Kenneth LaPointe and wife MJ of Lenoir City, TN, and Al LaPointe of Abbeville; grandchildren, Chris Meaux and wife Rebecca of Abbeville, Allison Meaux of McKinney, Tx, Jessica Pursiful and husband James of Greenwell Springs, LA, Luke LeBlanc and wife Amber of Denham Springs, LA, Justin LeBlanc and wife Ashley of Baton Rouge, Jeremy LaPointe and wife Jessica of Atlanta, GA, Jason LaPointe of Atlanta, Danielle LaPointe of Lafayette, and Aaron LaPointe of Abbeville; twenty great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Firmin Broussard and the former Elaine Romero; one sister, Stella Broussard; one infant brother, Louis Broussard; and one newborn great-great grandson, Kyren Balderaz.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM.; Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 8:00 AM until the time of services.
