Herbert Paul Billiot

Cow Island—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Herbert Billiot, 80, who died Tuesday, March 23, 2021.  He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Hebert officiating the services.

Herbert was a descendant of Houma Nations Tribe. Herbert worked with the New Orleans Saints football team for the last 45 years and went to LSU football and baseball games which he loved, along with working in the yard with his plants and feeding the birds and squirrels. He worked for Lake Construction and the Bijou Theater and Patio Lounge in Houma Louisiana.

He is survived by his sister, Medora Theresa O'Rourke and her husband Mike of Covina, CA; his brothers, Nerville "Bill" Billiot and his wife, Gloria, James "Jim" Billiot  and his wife, Gail of Houma and Charles M. Billiot of Houma; and his sister-in-law, Joyce Boudloche Billiot of Houma.

He was preceded in death by Laura Babineaux; his parents, Aimee “May” Lucille Billiot and Charles H. Billiot; his brother, Mitchell J. Billiot; and his two sisters, Eunice Leverton and Eula Trosclair.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 10:30 AM.

Due to the COVID-19 virus the family asks that everyone please wear a mask.
