Hunter Laroux Miller

Forked Island—Graveside services will be held Monday, February 5, 2024, at 1:00 PM at St. Anne Cemetery in Forked Island honoring the life of Hunter Laroux Miller who died January 31, 2024.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hunter Miller, a beloved tiny soul who touched the lives of those around him in profound ways during his brief time here on earth. Hunter entered the world prematurely and fought valiantly in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for 42 days, surrounded by the love and care of the dedicated medical team and his devoted family. His courage was an inspiration to all who witnessed his journey, as he battled bravely against the odds.

Hunter is survived by his loving parents, Macie Sanders and Ricky Miller of Forked Island; his maternal grandparents, Matt and Rhonda Sanders of Forked Island; his paternal grandparents, Bruce and Marlene Mccann of Cade, LA; his godparents and aunt/uncle, Tamara and Randy Broussard of Forked Island; his godfather and uncle, Harley Sanders of Forked Island; his great-grandmother, Susan Sanders of Meaux; his great-great-grandmother, Rosa Mae Sanders of Erath; an uncle, Jeremiah Sanders and his wife, Jennifer of Kaplan; an aunt, Hailey Sanders and fiancé, Lee Noel of Perry; and four cousins, Claire Broussard, Randy Broussard, Jr., Carter Noel, and Owen Sanders.

He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Natalie and Kenneth Hargrave; maternal great-grandfather, William “Titkie” Saunders; and paternal great-grandparents, Mary and Richard Miller.
