Irene Faulk Romero

Abbeville—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 23, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Irene Faulk Romero, 90, who died Saturday, September 21, 2024, at her residence.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery with Father Alexander Albert officiating the services.  Those serving as pallbearers will be Andy Frederick, Luke Frederick, Coy Frederick, Damon Hebert, Cullen Smith, and Jason Hebert.  Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Faulk and Michael Mouton.  Susan Dardar will read the scriptures.

She is survived by her two granddaughters, Dana Frederick (Andy) and Trisha Mouton (Brandi); great grandchildren, Ann Marie Frederick and fiancé Cullen Smith, Luke Frederick, and Coy Frederick; brother, Daniel Faulk; son-in-law, Michael Mouton (Stephanie) and their children, Bridgett Mouton and Bethanie Mouton.

She was preceded in death by husband, Ludren Romero; parents, Walter and Olite Faulk; daughter, Connie Romero Mouton; brother, Raywood Faulk; and sister, Flaudry Creador.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:45 PM when the procession will depart for the church.

The family would like to offer special thanks to her caregivers, Beth Molbert, Louise and Tawana Stelly, Lilly Faulk, Ros Ward, and our special friends from Audubon Hospice, Lynell, Melissa, Cassie, and Allera for the wonderful care provide to Irene.
