James Bryan Hebert

Kaplan - A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Reverend Suresh Mathangi will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 23, 2024 at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of James Bryan Hebert, 58, who passed away on December 21, 2024 at his residence.

James was a man of faith and family. He could do anything with his hands and his favorite time of day was riding his side by side while checking his crawfish ponds and Brahman cattle. He was a proud member of the American Brahman Breeder’s Association and had a deep appreciation for the breed. There was not a person who encountered James without an instant feeling of belonging. He was known for his ability to listen and give some of the best advice. He has left a legacy of honesty, integrity, and love evident within his children and grandchildren. To know James was to love him and his heart is full with the love you all have shown him.

The visitation will be held at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan on Sunday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM when the procession departs for the church. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Sunday. Burial will follow at St. Anne Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Charlsie Hebert of Cow Island; one son, Ty Hebert of Cow Island; two daughters, Hillarie and her husband, Lance Stein of Cow Island and Alysse and her husband, Hunter Veillon of Forked Island; one sister, Lorna Bourque of Kaplan; one brother, Roylee Hebert and his wife, Angela of Sunset; and four grandchildren, Lusie and Lillie Stein and Averie and Miller Veillon. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Owen Hebert and the former Floraine Stelly; and one sister, Tawana Vaughan.
