James "Deano" Frederick

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March  5, 2021 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church honoring the life of James Dean Frederick, 63, who died Monday, March 1, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.  He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Nelda G. Frederick of Forked Island; his two sons, Nicholas Frederick of Cow Island and Marcus Frederick of Cow Island; his daughter, Dana Noel and her husband, Derek of Esther; his stepson, Ike Sagera and his wife, Shamane of Forked Island; his three grandchildren, Graci, Lilly and Andrew; his two sisters, Joyce Stelly of Kaplan and Ella Hargrave of Kaplan; and his four brothers, Douglas Frederick of Forked Island, Donald Frederick of Forked Island, Davis Frederick  of Forked Island and Danny Frederick of Forked Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Renis Frederick and the former Irene Richard; and his sister, Linda Faye Gaspard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, March  4, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Friday, March  5, 2021 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 1:45 PM.
